01/04/2008 Update! Good news! Our cat Huxley was adopted last week by a very nice young woman who was looking for a companion for her cat, a lonely 4 yo male. She says that he's settling in very well and getting along great with his new roommate.



Huxley is a big, beautiful, rambunctious 7-month-old neutered boy who would be a good "only" cat or perhaps a companion for a playful young puppy. We need to find a new home for him because he is not getting along with our older cats, especially our 14-year-old senior female.

Huxley is very friendly to humans and almost dog-like - he doesn't bite or scratch, and will purr mightily if you so much as look at him. He prefers to sit with people rather than on them, and what he really likes to do is play - he loves bubble wrap, and he even fetches! His coat is unusually soft and sheds very little.

Please help us find a home for this sweet, fun-loving guy!
