We wanted to give you guys an update on Emerson and Earl. They are doing fantastic, and we really couldn't have asked for better kitties.
Emerson really jumped right in and made himself right at home. He loves laying under the covers in bed with his head on "his" pillow. He's a natural hunter and loves to track down hidden treats and catnip. He also keeps our house bug free. If he sees a fly or a beetle he's immediately on the prowl.
Earl really took a full year to totally adjust. He makes progress everyday. Earl really had a very hard relaxing and wanting to be petted and loved on. However he has always loved to be brushed and comes running to beat Emerson when we're brush them. Now he loves to cuddle on the couch and is always in the mood to be petted. Even though they are still really big boys, they lay in one cat bed all on top of each other all the time. They are no longer afraid of strangers and love to investigate and show off for anyone who comes over.
They have been worth all of our patience and love and are blossoming into very sociable and loving companions.
We appreciate how well cared for and love they were by everyone at OAR before they got to come to their forever home with us. We know what a big difference it made to our boys and to all of the cats and families lives' you touch everyday.
